DescriptionCopy of the citation Notice, from the Bishop of Worcester, of the proposal to restore, alter and improve the church by removing the gallery at the west end, the flooring and pews in the nave and chancel (the chancel roof and all decaying timbers); raising the floors of church and chancel; transforming the small transept into an organ chamber and vestry; opening out the tower archway as to form the lower part into a baptistery; restoring the open roof over the nave; constructing a new roof over the chancel; raising the present chancel arch and N and S transepts and providing new choir seats, prayer desks and pulpits (creating 23 additional sittings) - in accordance with plans by John Cotton of Birmingham, architect. 18 Apr 1874.
