| Description | The properties were purchased by George Daken of Coscomb from John Woodward in 1731. In 1710 the messuage and 3 yardlands had been had been charged with £600 to provide the marriage portions of John Woodward's 3 youngest daughters, but later in 1722 a further 2 yardlands were charged with providing a further £200 for the portions. Certain yardlands were mortgaged before Daken's purchase and the mortgages were transferred to Daken in 1731.
These deeds formed part of 2 original bundles, CR0457/5 and CR0457/77, which relate to the property of the Woodward family. Bundle 5 has a covering note stating 'Part of Mr Woodward's Title, Another relating to same, No.1.' |
