My dear Father

I cannot tell you how much I feel your goodness in giving us such a handsome sum towards our Church Fund- It will enable us at once to invest a £1,000. I hope & trust please God that you may live to see the work accomplished, in the shape of a new church. At any rate we are sure now of enough to make a vast improvement.

Subscriptions given, as yours is, out of love and goodwill to the place are worth more than all the thousands that are received out of Daltons & Co- The people will be so delighted; and I need not not say how proud I shall be to tell them of your gift, as paid, at our next meeting.

I am off to Hagley

With best love

Yr affect son

Frederic R Evans
