I have just received a letter from Mr. J.W, Cross desiring me to take views of Griff House, and of a house in the Foleshill Road.
Mr. Cross encloses a letter of introduction to you, and tells me that you will be so good as to point out the places in question- He also desires me to be as expedious as possible.
If it would be convenient to you, I should propose to come down by the 3 p.m. train from Euston on Monday next to Bradford Bedworth, if sleeping accommodation can be procured there - (otherwise to Nuneaton). It would, however, be preferable to be on the spot over night, so as to get an understanding of the subject. Will you kindly inform me 1. If Tuesday would be a convenient day for you; 2. Whether I can get in at any decent place at Bedworth; & 3. Whether I can, if the distances are considerable, obtain a conveyance; or 4. Whether it would be better to sleep at Nuneaton & to drive over in the morning. Please also (in the event of this day being suitable to you) indicate where I should meet you,
