| AdminHistory | Fundraising for a new chapel in Warwick to replace Market Street Chapel began in 1891, as the existing chapel was too small for the increasing size of the congregation. The foundation stone for Northgate Methodist Chapel was laid in 1892 and the chapel opened in 1893. The chapel at Market Street continued to be used as a Sunday School until a Church Hall was added to Northgate Chapel in 1961. Warwick was part of the Leamington Circuit from the foundation of the Chapel until 2012 when the Leamington Circuit was combined with the Kineton Circuit to form the Mid Warwickshire Circuit. This circuit subsequently became part of the South Warwickshire circuit when it was joined by the Stratford and Evesham Circuit. |
