| Description | Michael Trayford of Atherstone, hempdresser, conveyed the reversion of copyhold premises to the churchwardens and overseers of Atherstone in order they might be sold and the residue (after certain bequests) be given in money or to buy linen cloth to make poor widows or children shifts, 1st October 1670. However it was claimed that since the death of Alice Trayford, widow of Michael, the Lord of the Manor has kept the property in his own hands and converted the same to his own use. |
