| Description | This volume came to WCRO as loose sheets of paper placed within its original parchment binding, however, in 1970s the original cover was stored elsewhere and conservation work was carried out on each sheet, which was then bound in a modern hard covered binding. The original cover asserted that the volume was the 'Churchwardens' and Constables' account book', but each officer doesn't appear to have kept separate accounts, but entered each item within the same 'list', with signatures of churchwarden and constable made after. Not every set of accounts seems to be followed by the signature of the constable. |
