| Description | This ledger, recording accounts for glazing, painting, plumbing and general building repair work, is possibly that of a family business in Shipston. The solicitor J. H. Clark recorded 'attending Mr. Wm. Miles on his uncle Richard's accounts' in 1826 and in earlier diaries mentioned payment of bills of a Mr. Miles. Several signatures for receipts in this ledger can be discerned, including that of Richard Miles in 1816 (f. 126v). |
