DescriptionElectricity cuts had to be made, due to pickets stopping the flow of coal from pit stocks to the power stations. These cuts finished on February 29, 1972, and these pictures were taken during a re-enactment of the conditions at the Bass Charrington off-licence at 56, Queen’s Road, Nuneaton - on corner of Alexander Street and Queen’s Road.
