DescriptionSurrender of land in Coventry under a number of acts passed in the reign of King George III for the expansion of existing church lands and the construction of new churches. Conveyance and release of land by John Royle, gent., of the city of Coventry on receipt of the sum of £426. Following an indenture dated July 1809 between Peter Seager and James Banbury, silkman of the city of Coventry and others, an agreement was reached to bargain, sell, assign and surrender to His Majesty's Commissioners for building new churches land known as Grey Friars churchyard currently in the parish of St Michael Coventry totalling 940 square yards. A map is included.
