DescriptionThe Free School was eventually taken over and administered by Warwickshire County Council to whom most of the endowment went, and by 1917 the Free School and the Church of England Girls and Infants School had become one mixed school and were using the same building. Where the records relate specifically to one school this has been noted in the title field. Please also note the Free School was a charitable institution formed out of the medieval guild, post Reformation. For this reason some of the early records relating to the school are listed under the Boys' School in the section on charity records.
