Edward Henry Boddington of Honington, clerk, Otho Claud Skipwith Gilliat of Honington Hall, Captain in H.M. Army and Frank Leslie Gilliat of Honington, esq.) upon trust "as a school or schools for the education of children and Adults or children only of the labouring manufacturing and other poorer classes in the Parish of Honington ..." and for clerical meetings etc.
The land was conveyed by Sir G.H.D'E. Skipwith to The Honourable Mary Elizabeth Francis Powys, spinster, 3 Jan 1907, in fee simple by mortgage securing payment to her of £12,500. By her will, dated 8 Mar 1905, she appointed executors who became mortgagees of the land in question and consenters to its conveyance by the tenant-in-tail in possession and Mortgagor, Sir G.H.D'E. Skipwith, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by the conjoint operation of the Settled Land Acts 1882-1890.
