| Description | This book is an unused baptismal register, made up of unprinted parchment leaves, which presumably became obselete in 1812. It contains memoranda about the endowments of the living, repairs to the vicarage and to the church, building an icehouse, the consecration of Warton Chapel, etc., all by J.D. Schomberg, vicar 1841-1864, together with comments on national events. After 1864 the book was used as a scrap-book relating to parish affairs. |
