DescriptionTo be held in trust to receive the rents and dispose of the same thus: (1) to pay 20s. p.a. for 6d. loaves to be distributed to poor widows of the parish on St. Thomas's Day (2) to pay the chief rents, taxes and repairs, and all charges and expenses etc. relating to the premises and trusts etc. (3) to apply the surplus annually in such manner as the churchwardens and overseers think proper to and for the use of the poor of the parish in pursuance of the will of Henry Holyoake. With a declaration that the trustees keep an account of the rents and accounts etc. (see DR0230/64). Consideration: £220 (£200 as bequeathed by the will of Henry Holyoak, dated 1 Feb 1730/1, to Elizabeth Holyoak, his cousin, the interest for her maintenance during her life and the principal to be placed out to use on good security by the direction of the Rev. Holled of Barby and, at her death, to go to the poor of Rugby (leaving it to the discretion of his executor to act as he thought fit): £20 as bequeathed by the will of Mary Brook, late of Rugby, now residing in Daventry (Northants.), widow, dated 29 Jan 1738, to the churchwardens and overseers to be put out at interest, the produce to be laid out in bread and distributed to the poor widows of the parish in 6d. loaves on St. Thomas's Day annually).
