TitleLetter from Deborah Lowe at Uxbridge to Jeffrey Bevington Lowe
Date13 Nov 1813
DescriptionOn their return from seeing J.B.L. They shared a coach with a gentleman who was a great admirer of Cowper and who warned them of noisy collegians about their inn, the Angel, in Oxford. Road from Oxford was extremely rough and passengers not the most agreeable. Stephen Grillett has written (from abroad) to Rachel Smith of his high opinion of Quakers; "I fear they would be of a very different opinion were they to see some of our members in this land". Health of friends.
