DescriptionHer sorrow at J.B.L's accident and non-attendance at her yearly meeting. He and his wife are too busy to undertake the station they are designed for in the "militant church". She is now happy in her new home, but regrets her distance from her nearest relatives. Misses having a garden attached to the house but can walk in the nursery garden. James has been at home this winter, but his travelling season will soon arrive. Hopes she will be visiting them at York "as soon as the way opens". They will not go to the yearly meeting. Her health is good. Cousin Thomas Allis is to take over the Retreat.
