| Description | These are single sheets, giving the registration number of the boat (different on the Grand Junction or Grand Union), owner's name, name of boat, articles on board when weighed, dry inches per ton of cargo, and alterations to the boat making it lighter or heavier. Some sheets are loose, some have been bound into volumes before use and some after use. It seems likely that copies of the certificates were sent to all toll offices and kept there, so that this collection is not one series but parts of several, in which more than one copy of the same certificate may appear.
