Reginald Bull was an amateur photographer making a detailed record of the Nuneaton area from 1949 to 1997. The collection consists of over 8,000 black and white negatives, originally contained in ten shoe boxes, and are meticulously catalogued in three volumes. He contributed photographs to the Nuneaton Evening News (formerly Tribune).
His father, Horace, was married to Gwen Robertson, whose father was the founder of the Nuneaton Chronicle. Reginald was born at the Weavers Arms, 13th March 1927, his father was the landlord. He attended the Grammar School. He worked as a clerical officer at the National Coal Board. After serving in the Military Police as a Corporal, he returned to work at the Coal Board until his retirement. He died 13th February 1999. |
