| AdminHistory | The association was set up to meet the need of pre NHS district nurses without a pension. Each county set up a separate association and these were financially supported through funds provided by the National Gardens Scheme. The association was eventually wound up because of the diminishing number of nurses qualifying for the scheme and its finances tranferred to the Queen's Nursing Institute. |
