TitleWARWICKSHIRE: RECORD OF PRISONERS OF THE HOUSE OF CORRECTION
Date1772-1773
DescriptionThis volume has passed through various phases during it's lifetime. Beginning in 1772, it was an official record of prisoners of the House of Correction in Warwick coming before the Justices of the Peace of Warwickshire (and judging from the misdeamours, specifically the Quarter Sessions). It subsequently was used as an account of the provisioning of bread for prisoners within the House of Correction in 1783. At a later date it appears the volume was used as day book by someone in the 'cooper' business, probably in the early 19th century, before going on to be used as a girl's [?] scrap book towards the mid 19th century.
