Lament at his journal being lost, but reciept of all letters mentioned by him: being charmed at his description of the "Valley of the Sweet Waters": letters to be addressed to Camerton: hope for arrival of his dogs: cheerful letter from father: dinner parties put on by the Rhodes James, and getting to know many people of the neighbourhood: husband John shooting a great deal: leaving for London tomorrow on way back to Camerton to superintend removal of furniture, floors, wainscotting, etc, hopefully having somewhere to shelter in the Old Barn: returning to Camerton on 30th, but going back to Yarmouth on 4 Dec, being unlikely to go to Froyle until mid-January: Ernest well, having taken a fancy to one of the Miss Wises but said by himself not to be in love: their travels to be somewhat of an adventure by stagecoach from London to Bath: likelihood of seeing many alterations at Camerton: pleasure at hearing of his good health.
