Visits that morning to her by Aunt and Uncle White and some friends: pleasure of meeting Mr Mandeville, a kind and good-natured gentleman, who talked to her of Costantinople and of the King enquiring after his brother's welfare: sittings arranged for painitng of miniatures by Ross, the cost likely to be 30 guineas: if Mr Mandeville returns, he can take charge of it: bad news of burglary again at Camerton House, this time taking only wine, bacon, ham and servants' clothing, with papers taken from chests and thrown about: thieves may be detected as one left a letter behind him: Ernest well and looking to marry, the Wise daughters being excellently brought up to be clergymen's wives: looking forward to seeing father (not seen since June): Sainsbury baby to be christened Thomas Ernest: death of Sainsbury's invalid sister and that of his Aunt Blount very near and Miss Sainsbury unlikely to be able to walk again.
