Excursion on Devon coast, the same tour as made in a tour by him and Stephen Jarrett many years before, from Camerton to Bridgwater, Dunster, Porlock, Linton [Lynton], Culbone (accessible only by horseback for 5 miles), the Valley of Rocks, Ilfracombe, Barnstable, Bridgwater again and Wells, enjoying walks and romantic scenery: husband bore the trip well, although often weak, but at Camerton show of the same symtpoms as before, leading to treatment of cupping (10/12 ounces of blood): his condition better, but low in spirits: her writing to Dr Warren and her opinion that the Calomel system had been used for too long: use of Dr Bernard at Clifton, friend of Rhodes James: her miniature to be sent via Mr Baillie: new offices not ready, possibly going to Hereford: Father well, Ernest wooing and Driver well. PS: Mr Bernard taking interest in case husband's, prescribing rhubarb instead of Calomel and keeping abstemious diet, but ruling out Hereford trip: miniature to go tonight by mail: her own painful finger.
