News of his safely arriving in the Bay of Nauplia: hopes of his soon settling and being comfortable: brother Ernest's intended marriage, having proposed and been accepted by Louisa Wise, with satisfactory father's offer as to fortune: her writing to Louisa, at Ernest's request, welcoming her as a sister: her liking of Louisa for her own sake, being quick, ladylike, pretty, well equipped to be a clergyman's wife, and good tempered: their having £1000 per annum between them and starting off in Ernest's little cottage, if father consents: husband's good health, being in excellent spirits, with a system of daily application of cold water to his head and hot water to his feet: request for his right address, with only one post a month: pity for his disappointment at Mount Olympus: hope of his not getting too stressed: spending their days at the White Hart in Bath and their nights at Camerton, with building work: sketch of the house by Mr Bulmer, which she will send on later: her being well, if tired and sleepy from walking about all day.
