TitleLetter from Anna Eliza Jarrett and John Jarrett to their brother Thomas Wathen Waller
Date24 Feb 1840
DescriptionWritten from Camerton Court, to Brussels.
Anna: worry about his hiccups and sore chest, blaming it on Brussels (as near to them as they could have hoped for, but unhealthy): they are giving him: thanks for his generous offer, but their being unable to accept, especially as Wathen has three children to take care of to their one, together with improvement in their financial situation with the clearing of past expenses, their Liverpool sugar starting to sell and Aunt Stephens putting £200 into their bank account. John: hands cold from visiting Bath, so only a short message of thanks for his offer. Anna: changes to the will of Mrs Stephens, with an annuity of £100 to Stephen and less inconvenience to John: her husband's interjection of a few short but heartfelt lines of thanks.
She addresses him as Pothy and signs herself Kittie, their childhood names.
Sheet, with 3¼ pages of text.
