In town for a fortnight: gratitude for his safely completing his journey: hopes of Lord and Lady Ponsonby not continuing their dislike of him once they have settled, his prospects brightening and his restoration to them soon, which his father will be working to achieve: encouragement to him to bear the small trials he faces from people who treated him with kindness and attention but now do the reverse: call for him to look to the comfort and support of God: father and Ernest well, the latter having taken a curacy in Warwickshire near Leamington, belonging to Mr Proby, and having to take it up almost immediately, with much to do: GG in town, with another little one coming ("too quick"): enclosing of gold chain for locket: husband at Stockbridge, with her returning to Camerton next week.
