| Description | Purchase of 6 acres and 30 perches in Stockingford, near the church and the Midland Railway Station, for £500 by James Tomkinson of Willington Hall, Cheshire, esquire, from the trustees of the late Andrew Thompson on 15th November 1873. It had been one of several properties used by Thompson to secure mortgages. One of the mortgages was discharged by this purchase. An abstract of Thompson's title, 1833-1869, refers to property in Astley, Fillongley and Nuneaton. Also includes plans.
