DescriptionPostcards and photographs are mainly of people or events: these include the High Street, Warwick Road, the Church, the market cross, Henley in the snow and in flood one dated (1932), the fair, soldiers on parade, festivities, including the Coronation of George V and Queen Mary in 1911, civic dignitaries, clerics, one of the Rev. Bell, another taken in 1922; the fire brigade, groups at the station, on horseback, in the country, in traps and of Miss Cook in a garden; there are groups in front of an unnamed house; and in front of the Old Rectory at Beaudesert, c.1880. Also Wootton Wawen church (2) Wootton Hall, the Shakespeare Theatre on fire, 1926, Astwood Lane Corner at Astwood Bank and Rowington church.
