Description | The cases - Hadow (Clerk) v. Barnett and others, and Hadow v. Arnold and others involved non-payment of tithes: defendents offered moduses in lieu to the Rev. W.J. Hadow, as they had always done by tradition, but he refused them, contesting that, through his researches, tithes were due to him. (i) Papers relating to the history of tithe and copies of substantially earlier documents copied by Rev. Hadow. Include maps of the parish, terriers, family pedigrees and abstracts of parish and tithe accounts 1827-1835. (ii) One large volume of correspondence relating to the disputes, and the action to be taken 1827-1838. (iii) Haseley tithe suits memoranda book 1832-1834.
