PlaceCode Lookup Table

Find the parish you wish to search for and make a note of the PlaceCode. You can then search for records relating to this parish by entering the PlaceCode in the PlaceCode field of the search form.

So far we have only added place codes to our parish collections. We plan to roll out the indexing to other collections in the future.

For towns with multiple parishes, such as Warwick or Coventry you can either:

1. Find the specific parish you are interested in (such as St Mary's, Warwick) and use this placecode.
2. Or, if you don't know which parish to choose, or if you are interested in records relating to the whole town, pick the 'Whole Town' placecode. This will return documents relating to the whole town, as well as documents relating to each of the individual parishes within the town.
