DescriptionIndentures of assignment by Pendock Price of Westerham, Kent, esquire, of the 1st part, and William Knight, citizen and vintner of London, and John Snacknell, citizen and wine cooper of London, of the 2nd part, to Sir Edward Ward, knight, Lord Chief Baron of the Court of Exchequer, of the 3rd part, of a messuage and close of ground containing 5 acres in the parish of St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex (in the tenure of William Peare the elder and William Peare the younger), a messuage with garden called the New Neat House in the said parish of St Martin, with a parcel of meadow containing 10 acres lately enclosed and part of Abbots Meadow, and 11 acres 3 roods of meadow in the parishes of St Margaret, Westminster and St Martin in the Fields (late in the tenure of John Packer), for the remainder of a term of 500 years, in consideration of £1000 paid by Sir Edward to Price and 5 shillings to Knight and Snacknell, with provision for payment of £1060 by 12 March [1713] and recitals of mortgage 11 Nov 1679 and several assignments.

T21 has applied seals for Pendock Price, William Knight and John Snacknell and is endorsed with assignment by Dame Elizabeth Ward, widow of Sir Edward, knight, deceased, Philip Papillon of London, esquire, and Edward Ward of Inner Temple, London, esquire, executors of the will of Sir Edward Ward, to Henry Wise of Brompton Park, Middlesex, esquire, in consideration of £1000 paid by Wise to Edward Ward and 5 shillings to Dame Elizabeth Ward and Philip Papillon, 7 Jan 1 Geo 1714 [by modern calendar 1715], with three applied seals for assignees at bottom, and numbered "T.21".
T22 has applied seal of Edward Ward and is endorsed as a counterpart, with number "T.22".
