DescriptionIndenture of lease between William Deyncourt, lord of Graneby [Granby] and Thomas de Hameldene, parson of the church of Potter Haneworth [Potter Hanworth, Lincs], and John Tibetot, lord of Langar, his son Robert Tibetot, and Margaret, daughter of William, whereby John grants to Robert and Margaret £52 of rent to take the manors and advowson of Eperston and 14 messuages, 2 cottages, 21 bovates of land and 7½ acres of land at Berneston from the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady [8 Sep] 1362 for the life of John, reserving payment to John for a term of 14 years starting from a quarter of a year after the date of the indenture, reciting a previous lease.
Dated at Eperston, Thursday after the feast of St. Barnabas 22 Edw III [12 June 1348].
Seals: two cream-coloured, round, with designs of heraldic shields, one with a helmet, attached by tags.
