Description | Indenture between the religious men, abbot and convent of the monastery of St Agatha, and Sir Richard Lescrop, knight, patron of the monastery, for the appointment of brothers Richard de Cotom, Walter de Neweby, John de Eseby, William de Camerton, John de Hornyngton, John de Selby, John de Garton, Thomas de Eseby and Thomas de Disceforth, as canons for the monastery, reciting indenture between Roger, abbot of the convent of St Agatha, and Sir Roald, son of Alan, Constable of Richem' [Richmond], for the presentation of 10 canons (being at Sir Roald's choice), the patronage of the monastery having belonged to Sir Henry Lescrop and passed to his son Sir Richard, and the inquiry finding William de Ireby to be the only surviving canon.
