| Description | Indenture of assignment of lease by Thomas Powell of Warwick, yeoman, to George Chowne of Fairlawn, Kent, esquire, and Nicholas Chowne of Warwick, gent, of the indenture of lease dated 26 Apr 12 Eliz [1570] by John Fisher, clerk, Master of the Hospital of St Michael, and its brethren and sisters, to Thomas Powell, for the site of the Hospital of St Michael and all its houses, buildings, lands, etc in the suburbs of the the town of Warwick to be held under the terms of the lease, with covenant of Powell with the Chownes that that the premises will be free from incumbrances for the rest of the term [of 80 years].
