Description | Counterpart indenture of lease by Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton of the Priory near the borough of Warwick, baronet, to Oliver Fleetwood of the borough of Warwick, innholder, of 3 meadows belonging to the Priory called Kerby's Meadows (abutting the Hopyard and Priory Pools at one end, and the Mill Meadow and part of the Palfrey Meadows at the other) and the Mill Meadow lying along the watercourse by the Priory, all in the occupation of Oliver Fleetwood (reserving all timber, trees, etc and watercourses), to be held from the next feast of the Annunciation [25 Mar] for a term of 11 years, at the annual rent of £13, with an additional £5 for every acre of meadow ploughed up, in consideration of 10 guineas. 15 February 1698 11 Will III [by modern calendar 1699].
