DescriptionIndenture of articles of agreement for a lease by Sir John Puckeringe, knight, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England, to Robert Acton of Ribbesford, Worcestershire, esquire, and Richard Acton, gentleman, of the mansion house called the Priory in Warwick, and all houses, stables, barns, malthouses, mills, other houses, hopyard, gardens and orchards, and all the grounds, then in the tenure of William Combes (excepting all trees, woods, hops and crops), to be held for a term of 3 years at the annual rent of £128, with covenants for the Actons to repair and maintain the premises in good order, including the brook and water to the mills, orchards, walks, household items and windows, as well as not to allow new roads or paths to be made, but allowing the Actons the right to fish, with provision for Sir John Puckeringe, or after his death, Dame Jane his wife, to give 6 months notice to quit.
