Description | Indentures of lease by Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, baronet, to John Pritchett of the borough of Warwick, yeoman, of closes or Lammas grounds previously divided into 3 parts in the parish of St Mary in the borough of Warwick called the Upper and Neather Pigwells, late in the tenure of Thomas Hunt and William Elliotts and then in the tenure of John Pritchett (excepting all timber, trees, etc), to be held from the next feast of the Purification of the Virgin [2 Feb 1684] for a term of 11 years, at the annual rent of £13, with an additional £5 for each acre ploughed or brought into tillage. 31 Dec 35 Chas II [1683].
