DescriptionIndenture of assignment by Richard Parkes of Wednesbury, Staffordshire, ironmonger (at the request of John Hopkins), to John Williams of the borough of Warwick, gentleman, Henry Jephcott of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, gentleman, and Francis Smith of the borough of Warwick, mason of the residue of several terms of 500 years, relating to the mills, springs, streams, lean-to stable, powers, licences, etc for the water supply to the inhabitants of Warwick, as laid out in indentures of leases dated 10 and 12 March 1693 [1694] and assignments of 25 Dec 1703 and 25 Mar 1704, in consideration of the refusal by Richard Parkes to set his seal on the last recited assignment and to put an end to the delay in the performance of its trusts.
