DescriptionCounterpart indenture of lease by Matthew Wise of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, esquire, to John Buckerfield of the parish of Lillington, yeoman, of a messuage, with barns, stables, gardens, etc, and several old inclosures lying on the south side of the Common Street of Lillington, other old inclosures and new inclosures taken out of Lillington Common Fields called the Upper Field and the Lower Field [premises further described], containing 180 acres 1 rood 1 perch, all in the parish of Lillington (reserving all timber, trees, etc), to be held from 25 March next for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of £72, with an additional £5 for each acre ploughed and £5 for each acre sown with rape, flax or hemp seed.
Endorsed as being a counterpart, with memorandum of Matthew Wise agreeing that Buckerfield shall hold and occupy a cottage standing on the premises, 8 Nov 1753. Seal: for John Buckerfield, cut away and missing from bottom fold.
