Description | Indenture of lease by Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, baronet, to Elizabeth Eaborn of Lillington, widow, and Abraham Eaborn, one of her sons, of a messuage, barn, stable, hovels, garden, orchard and yard, a close adjoining the yard (3 roods 8 perches), a close lying against the common pound and adjoining the tithe barn (2 roods 28 perches) and a close called Neather Close (between a close next to the common pound in the occupation of Richard Hewit and Broad Close late or then in the tenure of Abraham Dawkes, containing 3 roods), and one and three-quarters yardlands (c63 acres) of arable land, meadow, pasture, furze and heath, all in Lillington, then or late in the occupation of Elizabeth Eaborn and reputed to have been occupied by John Eaborn, then by Abraham Eaborn, to be held from 25 March next for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of £13, with an additional 5 shillings for each rood ploughed of land which had not been ploughed "within the Memory of Man". 1 Jan 1683 35 Chas II [by modern calendar 1684].
