DescriptionCounterpart indenture of lease by Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, baronet, to Richard Hewit of Lillington, husbandman, of a messuage, barn, buildings, garden, yard and orchard, a close called Home Close adjoining the orchard (1 acre 1 rood 13 perches), several lands described as Sevenlands, comprising two lands in the West Field called Over Lenthams, two lands in Hamfield called Nether Furlong and two lands on Over Field called the Breech and the Nether Hardwick, and one fither [strip of land between two ridges] at Blackenhill Side lying next to land occupied by Elizabeth Newberry and land at the top of Blackenhill, with right of common of pasture for one cow, all in Lillington in the occupation of Richard Hewit, to be held from 25 March next for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of 55 shillings, with an additional 5 shillings for each rood ploughed of land which had not been ploughed "within the Memory of Man".
