DescriptionCounterpart indenture of lease by Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, baronet, to Elizabeth Lees of Lillington, widow, of a messuage, 2 barns, stable, garden, yard and orchard, with a close near the yard called the Buts, an adjoining close called Home Close (2 acres 2 roods 11 perches), a close near a cottage in the occupation of Richard Pinchaback (2 roods 27 perches), a yardland (c36 acres) of arable land etc, part of a house, barn, yard and orchard, with close called the Barn Close (4 acres 3 roods), a close called the Paddock (1 rood 32 perches), a close called Orton (2 acres) and two and a half yardlands (c88 acres) of arable land, all in Lillington and in the occupation of Elizabeth Lees and formerly of John Arnold (with reservations to Sir Henry, further described), to be held from 25 March next for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of £26, with an additional 5 shillings for each rood ploughed of land which had not been ploughed "within the Memory of Man".
