Description | Indenture of lease by James Mollett of the parish of St Margaret, Westminster, Middlesex, gentleman, to Martin Buckingham of the parish of Kensington, Middlesex, bricklayer, of a parcel of ground lying near the Goore in the parish of St Margaret, Westminster, containing 80 feet next to the London Road and 300 feet in depth, abutting the road to the north, ground of James Mollett to the east, ground of James Mollett let to Charles Morgan on the west, and ground of James Mollett in the occupation of Mathew Child to the south, to be held from the last feast of St John the Baptist (24 June) for a term of 29½ years, at the annual rent of £10, with a covenant by Buckingham to build a substantial brick wall and a causeway in front of the premises before 29 September next and to put up rails and posts and plant trees in front of the causeway. 7 August 1 Jas II 1685.
