DescriptionDeed of warrant of Sir Thomas Puckeringe of Warwick, knight and baronet, to John Wightwicke of Inner Temple, London, gent, to act in his absence, Sir Thomas having made a resolution to travel overseas for a certain time: he gives authority to Wightwicke to appear in court on his behalf in suits brought against him upon advice of his "brother" Adam Newton, Secretary of Henry, Prince of Wales, and to manage affairs relating to his lands, tenements, leases, etc: he also gives authority to John Townesend of Warwick, gent, John Wightwicke and his servants to sell wood or timber from his estates in Warwick and the Aspes, to John Wightwicke and Ralph Brascoe of Barnet, the same authority for Weston Wood in Hertfordshire, rendering accounts to Adam Newton, and to John Wightwicke the authority to sell lands and timber in Berkshire and Nottinghamshire.
