Receipt of letter of Wednesday 14 June: request to pay pair of candelabra and Sevres china cups: her inclination, with everything so high in price, for him to choose little but of very good quality: limit for him to buy a really good clock at £100-£150: knowledge of his and Lady Howe's good taste, with a large field for ornamental cups of Sevres and Dresden for him to choose from, and bronzes: having been extremely ill and obliged to move to York House: thanks for his willingness to undertake her commissions: love to Lady Howe, benefitting from the tour and change of air: hope of his leaving his troublesome complaint in Paris.
