DescriptionWritten from London.
On arrival in town his having written to Mrs Nash to express his Majesty's concern at Mr Nash indisposition: copy of Mrs Nash's reply, with Mr Nash being made happy by the King's kindenss and condescension and expressing his gratitude, with Dr Johnson's assurance of his recovering his sight and her own feeling sure of his being much better: the optic nerves having been suddenly paralised: his seeing poor Nash tomorrow and writing to his Majesty afterwards: the melancholy thought of someone so ingenious, kind-hearted, loyal and devoted being struck blind.
