TitleLetter from Ernest, Duke of Cumberland, to Sir Jonathan Wathen Waller
Date25 Feb 1835
DescriptionWritten from St James, addressed to Phippy.
His having expressed himself unclearly in the description of George's eye: enclosure of Jelf's letter, which he could not do when at Kew, as it had been left in town, with request for its return after reading: his having seen Alexander and Halford on Friday, with Alexander believing absorption had begun, from Jelf's description, being a soft sort of cataract rather than a hard one: receipt of account yesterday from Graefe himself, but in German needing to be translated for him: his having expected to see him in town last Wednesday and state all he had heard previous to the letter: writing for him to read all his impressions so that he may be able to form a correct view of the present state of the case: a considerable change clearly having taken place in the last two months, one which can be put down to his son being of the age when great changes are going on, with hope of his recovering his sight.
