Things going very well, with the absorption advancing, George's health being excellent and with hope of the boy recovering his sight: supposition of Waller being settled for winter in his elegant residence, which Wythe assures him is most comfortable and highly elegant, worthy of his excellent and refined taste, as with his two houses at Hastings and Twickenham in their different ways: being sorry to hear of Queen Adelaide suffering since she got to the country, with anxiety during the painful and protracted illness of his poor sister Augusta [died 22 Sep 1840]: the imminent arrival of the Duke of Cambridge home, having received letters reporting his passage through Frankfurt and meaning to stop only a short time at Brussels to visit King Leopold: lamentable rainy weather.
