TitleLetter from William Williamson junior to his father William Williamson senior
Date10th Mar 1873
DescriptionWritten from 66 Cemetery Road, Bury.
He received a letter last week from his uncle John telling him that grandmother was dead and buried; he understands from his uncle that William Williamson senior is very angry with the letters that he has been writing to him since he has been away; promises that any offence arising from the letters was unintentional and that he is sorry for it; he has been thinking a lot about the estrangement and would do anything his father wishes in order to be friendly with him again; his life has not been a bed of roses since leaving home and the work of the office has been too much for him; Mr Stanley had told him he wanted a more experienced man but he has been working hard and hopes he can keep the place; hopes that his father will forgive the past and write to him.
