Title12 papers and deeds relating to the tithes in Long Lawford payable to the Boughtons, Richard Boughton by a lease dated 18th November, 1668, from the Master and Fellows of Holy Trinity College, Cambridge, was entitled to Tithes belonging once to the Rectory of Monks Kirby, for 20 years, but the payment of tithes is in arrears, owing to disagreement with the freeholders.

DescriptionThe documents include a Copy of the the Decree of Court, concerning the validity of Richard Boughton's demands, and a later confirmation of the same, listing the freeholders involved; detailed assessments of the rental value of lands in Long Lawford and the tithes due on each (several copies and drafts); plus a letter relating to the aforesaid suit. I have included an account of the tithes due to Theodosia Donnellan (nee Boughton) in 1781 and an Abstract of her title to the tithes of Long Lawford, based on the aforesaid successful suit (1820).
